OUR HISTORY
From Munich to British Columbia
Construction has been part of the Kellermeier family for generations. Thomas Kellermeier grew up in Munich, Germany, learning the trade through the painting, renovation and restoration company established by his grandfather and later operated by his father.
After immigrating to Canada, Thomas founded Kellermeier Contracting in 1999. What began as a one-person operation completing smaller renovations has grown into an established construction company delivering custom homes, major renovations and commercial projects throughout B.C.'s Interior.

We believe a successful construction project begins well before work starts on site. Early conversations about the property, plans, engineering, budget and intended use of the space allow our team to identify challenges and opportunities before they become expensive changes. We work with trusted local professionals who understand regional building codes, conditions and requirements, helping clients make informed decisions from the beginning.
Once construction begins, our team remains closely involved at every stage. We pay attention not only to what clients will see when the project is complete, but also to the structural, mechanical and technical details that determine how well the building will function and how long it will last.
We also believe quality construction and dependable timelines can go together. With careful planning, strong organization and clear communication across the entire project team, clients should not have to choose between the two.

We aim to expand our work in Kamloops, Sun Peaks and surrounding markets, advance practical energy-efficient construction, support skilled-trades training and take on projects where craftsmanship, collaboration and long-term performance are valued.

Thomas founded Kellermeier Contracting in 1999 after growing up around his family’s construction business in Munich, Germany. Today, he oversees the company and remains closely involved in project planning, client relationships and construction delivery.
KEAN KELLERMEIER
Lead Carpenter
+ Foreman
Kean represents the next generation of Kellermeier Contracting, combining hands-on carpentry experience with job-site leadership and a focus on quality workmanship.
ANDREW WEIR
Foreman + Passive House
Tradesperson
Andrew oversees day-to-day job-site operations and brings Red Seal carpentry experience along with specialized knowledge in high-performance construction and Passive House building principles.
